Based on a recent survey, 99% of New Zealanders would mistake lymphoma symptoms, such as tiredness, fever, night sweats and swollen glands, for common complaints such as flu, glandular fever, meningitis or fatigue.
It is essential that the symptoms of this condition are recognised early, as if treated appropriately some types of lymphoma can be cured. If left untreated, some types of lymphoma can be fatal within six months.
My goal is to raise both awareness and $$$ to aid both cancer sufferers and their families in the following areas:
• Patient services
• Education
• Advocacy
• Research
• Medical equipment
So please, come support me as I participate in Ironman Triathlon World Championships in an effort to raise funds for Leukaemia & Blood Foundation of NZ. As sad as it is this disease knows no boundaries and we need as much support as possible. Your help today mite just help out your friend, brother, sister, mother, father, child …or even yourself, tomorrow.
